GALLAGHER, Dick

Dick, the 12-year-old son of Barney Gallagher and wife, who was
kicked by a colt, mention of which was made last week, died last
Wednesday evening and the funeral was held Friday morning at St.
Mary's church in this city, Rev. P. R. Ducey officiating. We
extend sympathy to the bereaved parents.
GALLATIN, Elsie Charles
daughter of Charles Wells, born 10 January 1893, died 9 August
1981. Funeral held Tuesday, August 11, 1981, burial in Baird
Cemetery.
GIDEON, Alfred Buster

Fell asleep in Christ this day at 15 minutes past 11 o’clock AM,
Alfred Buster Gideon in the 50th year of his age. Thus after a
long and painful illness has passed away one of the best citizens
of the county. His death leaves a large vacuum in the
church of Christ, causes an irreparable loss to his family. The
whole community will mourn his loss. He was buried at Darwin today
in the honor of Masonry from the new chapel near his residence at
10 o’clock AM.
GILBERT, Bess M. WILLIAMS

Bess M. GILBERT, daughter of the late Mathias and Leoma WELLS
WILLIAMS, was born January 1, 1887, Berry County, Missouri and
passed away May 28, 1966 in St. Mary's Hospital, West Palm Beach,
Florida.
Widow of the late Harry Beecher GILBERT who preceded her in death
September, 1945; two brothers Curt and Clenn (Buck) WILLIAMS and
one sister Dessie WILLIAMS MURPHY also preceded her in death.
Surviviors include two daughters: Mrs. Cass (Thais) GRISSOM
of Santa Maria, California and Mrs. Glenn (Ruth) TIPPETT. She is
also survived by 6 grandchildren--Glenna Ruth TIPPETT, Henry
Beecher TIPPETT, Mrs. Linda GRISSOM BAIRD, Ruthann GRISSOM, Mary
Thais GRISSOM, and Ben Lee GRISSOM and 1 great grandchild--Wendy
Ann TIPPETT.
Mrs. Gilbert accepted Christ at the old Wiley Brick Church near
Salisbury, many years ago.
Pallbearers were nephews of the deceased: Norman R. GILBERT,
Maynard GILBERT, Jack GILBERT, Marvin GILBERT, Richard GILBERT,
and great nephew Carl GILBERT.
Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery in Westfield, Clark County,
Illinois.

15, 1978, burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

GREENWELL, Angela Sue

daughter of Harold and Mildred Nash Washburn, born 22 July 1932,
died 26 February 1985. Funeral was Thursday, February 28,
1985, burial at Butternut Cemetery. Husband, Eugene Gross.

Mrs. Lucinda Guyer, 86 years, formerly of York, Illinois, died
Thursday of last week in Tucson, Arizona. The body was
returned to Prust-Horsch Funeral Chapel in West Union. She
is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Nola Kekalos, Mrs. Nina
Garrison, and Mrs. Naomi Fox of Tucson, Arizona; two sons, Cecil
Reynolds of Tucson, Arizona and Ceb Reynolds of Detroit, Michigan;
one sister Mrs. Oma Stanfield, Rural Route 2, West Union; and two
brothers, Chalk Nidey, Rural Route 1, West York; and John Nidey,
Williamsburg, Iowas; sixteen grandchildren; sixty-two great
grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at West York Church of Christ,
with the Rev. Millard Brown officiating. Burial in the
Bailiff Cem.
GUYER, Ray F.
born 22 October 1900, died 4 May 1979. Funeral held Monday,
May 7, 1979, burial at Ridgelawn Cemetery.
