The institute closed last Friday, about 80 failing to get the required grade to entitle them to certificates. A number of these, however, took an examination and retrieved themselves. Below is a list of those who attended, arranged by townships.

Marshall leads with 37 candidates, Martinsville comes next with 19 and Wabash and Casey follow with 15 each.   Parker has the smallest number of 3.   Anderson twp sent not a single teacher.   The entire enrollment according to this table was 148 and all but two of these live in Clark County.   Of the 146 in the county, 22 are ladies.
