Her father Lyman, didn't think that would be suitable for a woman in 1918. Cecil was very intelligent and she did all of her father's bookkeeping for his business beginning as a young child about 8 years old. One of my favorite pictures of the Wright family horse ranch outside Dudley, Missouri, was a photograph of one of the Wrights & me posing with my Grandmother's favorite horse named Fly. My entire life I wanted to visit the big ranch with the Victorian house with an oval glass in the front door. In 1980, I took a trip with my Grandparents Cecil and Clarence to Dudley and Dexter Missouri. We drove to the ranch site outside Dudley and I was amazed that the ranch looked much the same as it did in the old photograph. I was thrilled. The only thing missing was the one room school house my Mother Lucille and Aunt Bernice attended as children. The school house was down the road from the Lyman Wright ranch. From an E-mail sent to me by her granddaughter, Susan Nelson Lash.
